The RSPB is the UK charity working to secure a healthy environment for birds and other wildlife, helping to create a better world for us all.  They  work for the conservation of wild birds, other wildlife and the places in which they live in a wide variety of ways.

Oxfordshire RSPB Reserve: Otmoor

Otmoor is a magical nature reserve of wet meadows and reedbeds. It is a haven in winter for thousands of ducks, such as teals and wigeons, and in spring and summer for breeding wading birds, such as lapwings and redshanks. The site is very exposed, so access can be difficult in wet weather, and the paths become extremely muddy.

One visitor trail, approximately 1.5 miles (2.5 km). Paths suitable for wheelchairs/pushchairs except when muddy. A variety of public footpaths also allow access around Otmoor and some long circular walks. NB some public footpaths are closed when the adjacent rifle range is active. The range may be active any day except Mondays and Thursdays.

Birds to see include the Tuffed Duck, Skylark, Little Egret, Lapwing and Hobby.
