WWT centres offer a unique visitor experience where everyone can enjoy wetland habitats and their wildlife all year round in accessible and comfortable surroundings. Their nine UK wetland visitor centres have introduced millions of people to the wonders of wetlands and their wildlife, and why it is so important to protect them.

The Arundel Wildlife & Wetlands Trust in Sussex is 26 acres of ancient woodlands adjacent to the River Arun, overlooked by the historic Arundel Castle, the Arundel wetland habitat is home to exotic waterbirds from around the world. You can discover wild birds in the lakes, reed beds and woodland. Glide along the waterways of the new Wetlands Discovery area on quiet, electric boats and see Water Voles up close. See some of the rarest ducks in the world and feed by hand exotic birds

Free Safaris on quiet, electric boats are offered everyday weather permitting. Gliding along the waterways of the new Wetlands Discovery area you can discover the joys of seeing wild flora & fauna in their natural environment. Limited passenger numbers on a boat safari mean you can have the uninterrupted attention of an experienced & knowledgeable guide throughout your trip. Boats can get fantastically close to rare creatures that would not be possible if walking and our safari guides can expertly manoeuvre the boats to get the best possible sighting. No need for telescopes or binoculars.

The sights and sounds of the wetlands are all around as you travel deep into the reed beds. Look out for Water Voles, migrant birds, dragonflies, snakes and more...and each season brings exciting and colourful changes in both flora and fauna.

The Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust (WWT) is a leading UK conservation organisation saving wetlands for wildlife and people across the world. The purpose of the WWT is to save wetlands and their wildlife and raise awareness of the issues that affect their survival. To enhance people’s lives through learning about and being close to nature and inspiring them to help WWT’s conservation work worldwide.
