Highdown Vineyard will again be hosting a Burns Supper to celebrate the life of the baird.
They intend the evening to combine the formalities of a traditional Burns Night with the cheerful friendly atmosphere of a Highdown tasting and the twist on cooking of traditional fayre.
This year having extended the winery building and converted another room they will be able to offer a dance floor and will organise a traditional reel to dance and finish the evening.

All are welcome at London's free events in Chinatown and Trafalgar Square to welcome in the Year of the Rabbit. The Chinese Association of Southampton will host the Chinese New Year Celebration in Southampton, 29th January. This year the event will take place in the West Quay Shopping Centre.
The celebration will begin at 11.30 a.m.
There is a full programme lasting about one and a half hours.
The spectators will see the breathtaking skill of the Lion Dancers; the traditional folk dancing; martial arts display; Chinese musical instrument playing and an all female choir singing traditional New Year songs etc.
This year there will also be some modern performances.
The programme will finish with the Dragon Dance parade. In addition, a Chinese New Year market will be organised outside West Quay.
